If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that I was in Los Cabos for a fun trip with friends last week. Here is a rundown of where we stayed and ate!
Where We Stayed...
We stayed at the Hilton Los Cabos in the Tourist Corridor of Cabo San Lucas. We booked one of their AltaMar rooms with a plunge pool which was fabulous. We were celebrating my husband's and my birthday so we decided to splurge and it was totally worth it.

The view of the ocean from our room was stunning, and the patio with the plunge pool provided a perfect spot for relaxation. The pool's temperature was comfortably warm while still refreshing. The room itself was spacious and clean. My only minor issues were that it was somewhat sparsely furnished and felt a little cold, lacking area rugs or artwork, and the bed wasn't the best. The bathroom was large and featured a nice shower, but it was quite dark (why do hotel bathrooms always have poor lighting?). Additionally, there was no double vanity in the bathroom, which is a small detail, but I prefer having my own space. The room's view and location were unbeatable, with easy access from the pool area, and I appreciated being on the ground floor. Overall, we were very happy with our room.
The Alta Mar package has some great perks! All of the snacks and drinks in our minibar were free of charge and restocked daily. You also get the daily breakfast buffet free of charge (which was amazing!), and there is a happy hour in the evenings with complimentary cocktails or wine. Transportation to and from the airport was included with our stay. We were picked up in a very comfortable SUV, and they even stopped at a market for us to pick up water and snacks.

The pools at the resort are beautiful and perfect for hanging out and relaxing. The property and pools are so expansive you can pick a new spot to hang out each day and never get bored! The water was warm and comfortable, and the views from the pools are breathtaking. It was not too crowded while we were there, so there was never an issue finding a good spot to sit. I think we picked a great time to go... after spring breaks are over and before summer crowds.
The beach in front of the resort was also beautiful. However, it's not ideal for swimming since the water is quite rough. Walking on the beach was somewhat challenging due to the sloped shoreline. The weather was perfect, with temperatures ranging from the high 70s to low 80s, and the evenings were so mild that I didn't need the light sweater I had brought.
The Food...
If you know me at all, you know that my favorite part of vacation is the food! And let me tell you, Cabo San Lucas did NOT disappoint! The food at our resort was some of the best I have had at a hotel. The daily breakfast buffet was truly a treat. From the quesadilla bar with all the fillings to the omelet station and everything in between, we left stuffed every morning.
We ate dinner on the property 3 times during our stay. The first night we took advantage of their all-you-can-eat taco buffet at Talavera. It featured freshly made tortillas and so many options to fill them with. It was perfect after a long travel day.
We also ate at Vela, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant on the property. They feature handmade pastas as well as meat and seafood entrees. I had their sustainable catch, which happened to be sea bass, and it was very good. The restaurant sits poolside, and the atmosphere was really lovely.
On our last night, we ate at Leña, a restaurant on the property that features wood-fire grilled meat and seafood.
The food was outstanding, and so was the service! My friend and I both had the surf & turf with filet and lobster, and we both loved every bite. It was the second time getting lobster on this trip (spoiled, I know), and it was prepared with a tamarind BBQ sauce that was so good. Really flavorful but not overpowering for the delicate lobster.

We had some great dinners off property as well! We went to Edith's in town and had an amazing experience. It is one of those restaurants that ticks all of the boxes...beautiful and unique atmosphere, great service, and next level food. We all splurged on the Lobster and it did not disappoint! There was live music and a super fun vibe. I can't wait to go back someday...it was a truly memorable meal!
Edith's Cabo San Lucas
We celebrated my birthday dinner at Acre restaurant and it was such an experience! The property is an oasis with lush landscaping and beautifully lit paths that lead to an indoor/outdoor dining area that is like nothing else I have experienced. We all loved the food, and the service was great. Definitely a birthday dinner that I won't forget!
Acre Los Cabos
This was such a great trip with great friends, and I enjoyed every minute of it! If relaxing and eating was my job, I would have been promoted to CEO by the end of this trip! would definitely stay at the Hilton Los Cabos again... we were very happy with the property and the service. The staff was so warm, friendly, and attentive, and the property had everything we could ask for.
